# How to follow new evidence on a clinical topic

Make an ongoing question explicit and use updates as a reason to revisit its evidence.

## Choose an interest

Use a specific research question or a broader clinical area. Keep your intended scope clear.

## Explain what matters

Add explicit interests and save relevant evidence. Newer standing-question controls depend on account rollout.

## Review the update

Open a surfaced source and check its design, date and relevance before changing an interpretation.

## Revisit the question

Use the weekly view to continue a topic. Monitoring supports awareness and cannot guarantee complete surveillance.

## A worked workflow example

Turn an ongoing reading interest into a topic you can revisit. Fellow access requires eligible plan access. Controls can differ by account rollout. Selected updates support reading; they cannot establish that all relevant evidence has been captured.

### Your input

Use: 'Early mobilisation during mechanical ventilation in adult intensive care; functional recovery and reported adverse events.' Save the papers that establish your starting point. The topic names an intervention, setting and outcomes without describing a patient.

### In AttendMe

Open Digital Fellow with eligible plan access. In the supported Watching for you panel, enter the topic under What should your fellow watch? and select Save. Review the confirmed scope. If watch controls are unavailable, use Train Your Brain where supported and inspect the standard Fellow brief.

### What you inspect

Open the saved watch to inspect its scope, selected papers and latest check. Read each source identity and evidence type. Distinguish a new trial from a follow-up report. Check the available source material. Use the weekly view to resume the same question. A watch is selected reading, not a complete literature search.

### Your reviewed result

Example update note: 'Watch: adult ICU mobilisation. New source: record the PMID. Contribution: explain what it adds to previous reading. Access limit: record it. Next step: read, appraise or revise the scope.' Use Pause or Stop watching when appropriate. An empty feed does not establish that no evidence changed.

## Before you reuse the result

Use this final check to decide whether the work is ready to discuss, save or continue. A useful output preserves its evidence, its scope and the questions it could not answer.

- The confirmed watch scope matches the population and outcomes you meant to follow.

- Each selected update has an identifiable original source.

- The note explains its contribution relative to earlier reading.

- The latest check and source-access limits remain visible.
