Confirm access
Use a document you are authorised to upload and share. Keep patient identifiers out of the document.
Check its version
Record the issuing organisation, applicable setting and review date.
Inspect both sources
Keep local protocol citations distinct from journal citations. A difference may reflect local resources or a governance decision.
Review through the team
Discuss an apparent conflict using the original sources and your institution's governance process.
A worked workflow example
Bring an approved local protocol into a de-identified evidence question. Use your own authorised document. This example supplies no fictional institutional policy and does not imply that an upload becomes public.
Your input
Choose your approved departmental mobilisation protocol. Confirm upload authority, issuer, version and review date. Remove patient identifiers. Ask: 'Compare our authorised mobilisation protocol with published trial evidence. Keep the local document and journal sources distinct.' This example supplies no fictional institutional policy.
In AttendMe
Open Protocols. Under My Protocols, use Drop a protocol here, or click to browse. Upload a PDF, DOCX or TXT within the displayed limits. Open Review after processing. Select Compare original and extracted passages. Complete the review before selecting Activate reviewed document. Draft or incomplete documents must remain inactive.
What you inspect
Compare extracted passages, figures and numbers with the approved original. Check Document type, Document group, Specialty and Setting. After activation, ask the question in Chat. Inspect View source document on the local citation and inspect the journal source separately. An active protocol is not guaranteed to appear in every answer.
Your reviewed result
Example local-context record: 'Local document: title, issuer and version. Extraction: checked against original. Journal source: record PMID or DOI. Difference to review: identify both passages. Responsible team: name the decision owner.' Personal uploads remain account-scoped. Organisation protocols retain their organisation's access and publication controls.
Before you reuse the result
Use this final check to decide whether the work is ready to discuss, save or continue. A useful output preserves its evidence, its scope and the questions it could not answer.
- You have upload authority and the document contains no patient identifiers.
- The extraction was compared with the approved original before activation.
- The local citation and journal source have distinct identities.
- The institution owns any proposed protocol change.
