Delete Your AttendMe Account

We make it easy to delete your account and all associated data

Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the AttendMe app:

  1. Open the AttendMe AI app on your device
  2. Tap the Profile tab at the bottom
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Scroll to Account Management
  5. Tap Account Security & Deletion
  6. Tap Delete Account
  7. Confirm deletion when prompted

Your account will be immediately disabled and all data permanently deleted within 30 days.

Option 2: Email Request (If Unable to Access App)

If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion via email:

  1. Send an email to support@attendme.ai
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your account
  4. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 48 hours

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove the following data:

  • Account Information: Email address, name, specialty, profile photo
  • Chat History: All medical research queries and AI responses
  • Saved Citations: Your entire research library
  • App Preferences: Settings and customizations
  • Authentication: Login credentials and session tokens
  • Subscription Data: Active subscriptions are cancelled

What May Be Retained (Legal & Security Requirements)

For compliance, security, and operational purposes, we may temporarily retain:

  • Anonymized crash logs for debugging (up to 30 days)
  • Financial transaction records required by law (up to 7 years)
  • Backup copies for disaster recovery (up to 30 days)
  • Aggregated usage statistics (anonymized, up to 90 days)

These retained items do not contain personally identifiable information.

Deletion Timeline

Immediate:

Account access is disabled immediately upon request

Within 30 days:

All personal data is permanently deleted from our systems and databases

Confirmation:

You will receive an email confirming deletion is complete

Third-Party Services

We will also request deletion of your data from our third-party services:

  • AI Processing: Medical queries processed by our AI service
  • Database: User data stored in Supabase
  • Subscriptions: Subscription data from RevenueCat
  • Analytics: Crash reports from Sentry (automatically sanitized)

Note: Some third-party services may retain data according to their own retention policies (typically 30-90 days). We request deletion from all services, but cannot control third-party retention beyond our legal agreements.

Questions About Account Deletion?

If you have any questions or concerns about deleting your account:

⚠️ Important Notice

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once you delete your account:

  • You cannot recover your chat history or saved citations
  • Your subscription will be cancelled (no refunds for remaining time)
  • You will need to create a new account to use AttendMe again

Please consider exporting your data before deletion if you wish to keep a copy.
