A difference is a question to review

Local guidance can reflect resources, governance decisions and patient populations that a journal article does not. AttendMe can help surface possible differences for review while keeping local protocol sources distinct from published literature. It does not automatically change a protocol.

  • Use only protocols you are authorised to access.
  • Check document version, region and the original source.
  • Take a proposed change through your institution's governance process.
02

Put the capability to work

A possible difference between an authorised local protocol and published evidence deserves a focused review. The useful output is a source-linked question for the responsible team.

  1. Establish local context

Use an authorised protocol in your personal or institutional workspace. Record its title, issuing organisation and version. Personal and institutional documents retain their respective access boundaries.

  2. Inspect both sides

When a drift item appears in Digital Fellow, open the local protocol source and the literature source. Locate the exact passages. Check whether they concern the same population, setting and outcome.

  3. Write a review question

A useful review note reads: 'Local passage: [document and section]. Published evidence: [identifier and passage]. Difference to discuss: [source-supported description]. Local explanation still to check: [resources, scope or governance decision].' The placeholders make the required provenance explicit.

  4. Take it through local review

Share the source-supported question through your institution's review process. Keep the proposed interpretation separate from the current protocol. The responsible team decides whether any change is justified.

03

What a useful result contains

Use these checks to assess the work you can actually open. Keep the source, the supported account workflow and your own review connected.

  • The local document is current and authorised.
  • Both passages support the stated difference.
  • The review note records unresolved local context and its decision owner.
04

Keep the evidence and your judgment together

The Fellow supports research, awareness and review. Inspect important sources, keep questions de-identified and check local guidance. It does not take autonomous clinical action.
